“Elvis,” is an Australian estuarine crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) currently living at the Australian Reptile Park in New South Wales, Australia. Estuarine crocodiles, also known as saltwater crocodiles, are the largest living reptile and are an iconic Australian species. Found in India as well as south east Asia, Philippines and the Indonesian Archipelago, these massive animals live in both salt and freshwater ecosystems along coasts or further inland provided there are rivers or other waterways present. They have a high salinity tolerance range, and have been found in water ranging from 0% salinity (fresh water), to 35% (sea water) and even double that. Sizes range from 3 to 5m, with Elvis here on the larger end and closer to 5m long. The largest skull found was 100cm indicating an even larger animal.
